The Skeena is muddy today Sept 8 2015 after some heavy rain however I expect the river to drop and fish again in the next week as the weather improves. Steelhead fishing has been great photos below were taken on Sept 7 2015 on the banks of the Skeena river with guests from Texas,Mexico,Vancouver Island what a mix of great people to host. They all caught Steelhead on the fly, knuckles were rapped and drags screamed good times and big smiles for guests of www.westcoastfishing.ca we still have a few openings for Steelhead this fall the run is large and the conditions will be perfect come October so if you are looking for some tight lines and screaming reels give us a shout. 1-250-638-0021
The Skeena river steelhead run is looking strong and healthy we have experienced low water most of the 2015 season but as fall approaches the rains have begun to fall giving the avid angler and guide a little twist on hunting the mighty summer run skeena river steelhead. As the season progresses the numbers of fish in the systems of the North become plentiful giving guided anglers double digit days of hooking chrome can be more the norm.
Photos below are from Sept 5 /2015 Guests of Westcoast Fishing Adventures 2 of the anglers are new to Spey casting and both have now caught there first ever steelhead on the fly.
